Meet Amanda and Mike, the maestros orchestrating the chaos of family life with three mini whirlwinds and their fluffy partner-in-crime, Florrie the dog. Tucked away in the rugged landscapes of Southland, this spirited squad thrives on turning everyday mayhem into outdoor escapades.

Mike's passion for hiking traces back to his teenage years when he embarked on a six-month adventure camp. He lived in old forestry huts hidden away in Tihoi, King Country, where he was able to explore and discover the beauty of the Pureora Forest. What started as a forest fling evolved into a lifelong love affair with the great outdoors.

Fuelled by the love of the great outdoors and an understanding of how thorough preparation enhances the hiking experience, Mike and Amanda embarked on a mission to make hiking more accessible. Recognising the barriers posed by high equipment costs or limited outdoor experience, they have created eco-conscious gear hire packages, so you can hit the outdoors like a pro.
